Industries We Build For

A Website Built for the Way Your Trade Actually Works

A plumber's website needs different things than a landscaper's. We build each one around the searches your customers actually type, the trust signals your trade actually requires, and the way the work actually gets booked.

What kind of website does a service business need?

One page that loads fast, shows your real work, names your town, and makes it one tap to call you — living on your own web address so you own it. That’s what turns someone searching "[your trade] near me" into a booked job. A profile on its own rarely does.

PHIT Web designs that page free first for plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners, handymen and more — you see your homepage before paying a dollar, then it's $997 flat for one page or $2,495 for five, built by hand for your trade and yours to keep. Pick your trade below.

Why a Generic Website Will Lose You Money in Every Trade

What makes somebody trust a plumber isn’t what makes them trust a roofer. The words a homeowner types at 2am with water coming through the ceiling are nothing like the words they type in February while planning a patio. Same designer, same template, same page — and one of those two people leaves. We build the page for your trade instead.

We’ve built three sites so far. We’ve read a lot more than three. Trades split roughly two ways. Emergency work — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, garage door, locksmith — needs a page that loads fast and screams the phone number, because the person reading it is standing in something wet. Project work — roofing, landscaping, painting, pools — needs photos of finished jobs and a longer trust story, because the ticket’s bigger and nobody spends $18,000 off a hero image. A few trades live in both camps. Cleaning and pest control get hired in a panic the first time and billed monthly after that, so those pages have to close the job and sell the contract. Tell us your trade and we’ll tell you which one you are.

Don’t see your trade? The 13 above are the ones we’ve done the most homework on — the searches, the ticket sizes, the objections. That doesn’t mean they’re the only ones we’ll take. If people find you by searching for you locally and then calling, the same build works. Tell us what you do and we’ll show you a homepage for it, free, before you owe us anything.

The Six Things Every Service Business Website Has to Get Right

Doesn’t matter what you do for a living — the sites that actually bring in work get the same handful of things right. Most of them are boring. That’s sort of the point.

1. Built for the search people actually type. A Houston plumber wants "Houston plumber." Sure. He also wants "leak repair Houston," "emergency plumber Heights TX," and "tankless water heater install Sugar Land." Those are different pages, not three more sentences on the same page. One homepage trying to catch everything catches nothing, and that’s what most builders hand you.

2. Trust where it does some work. License number, insurance, real reviews, photos of real jobs, how long you’ve been at it. Put them up top on every service page, not down in the footer where nobody scrolls. Somebody’s deciding whether you’re legitimate before they’ve finished reading a sentence.

3. The phone number is the first thing to do on the page. Service businesses get hired over the phone. Not by form, not by chat widget. So the number goes in the header and it stays there while you scroll, and on a phone it’s one tap — not something you have to copy down.

4. Fast, especially on a phone. Google has published this one for years: a bit over half of mobile visitors give up if a page takes more than three seconds. So if the guy across town loads in two and you load in five, he wins a chunk of your traffic before either of you says a word. We keep the pages light — no page builder, no eleven scripts you didn’t ask for.

5. Local content, not filled-in-template content. A Houston page should say The Heights, Sugar Land, Katy, and what August does to a condenser. A Denver page should say Capitol Hill, Highlands Ranch, and what altitude does to a furnace. "Serving the greater metro area" says nothing to anybody, including Google. We write specific.

6. Readable by the AI engines. Schema markup on every page, FAQ sections written as real questions, a named human behind the business, an entity Google can actually identify. That’s what gets you named when somebody asks ChatGPT or Perplexity who to call. Most agencies aren’t building for this yet. We are — it costs us nothing extra and it might matter a lot in two years.

What Every Trade Page Includes

Across all trades, the structure that wins is the same. Each trade page on our site shows exactly what we build into yours.

Service Pages

One page per service you offer. Each targets its own search query and ranks separately. A plumber gets pages for leak repair, drain cleaning, water heater install, repipe, sewer service, each ranks alone.

City Pages

One page per town you work in, named with the landmarks and neighborhoods people there recognize. We’ve got city pages for 935 towns across 49 states. Your build targets the 10 to 50 you’d actually drive to.

Trust Stack

License number, insurance proof, real reviews, real project photos — placed where they convert (top of every page), not buried. Includes integration with Google reviews so new ones appear automatically.

Fast on a Phone

Hand-coded, no page builder, nothing loading that doesn’t need to. Tap-to-call number in the sticky header. We run it through PageSpeed before you go live and we’ll show you the score — good or bad.

Local SEO Foundation

Schema markup, internal links that make sense, an XML sitemap, and copy built around what your customers actually type. It gives the page a fair shot on its own, without an ad budget holding it up. We can’t promise you a position and neither can anybody else.

AI Search Ready

Structured for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude. Schema-rich, question-format headings, identifiable author, and authoritative content blocks that AI engines cite.

Short Contact Forms

Four fields, not fifteen. Spam-blocked. Lands in your email, and in your CRM too if you use one. Every extra field you add is another person who doesn’t finish.

Honest Pricing

You see your homepage design free, then pay one flat price only if you love it — $997 for one page, $2,495 for five. 90 days of our care plan included ($147/mo after, cancel anytime). No long contracts. No "we own the domain" trap. You own everything from day one, site, domain, content, traffic.

Common Questions Service Business Owners Ask

These five come up on nearly every call. If yours isn’t here, ask us — we’d rather answer it now than after you’ve paid somebody.

Does my trade really need its own dedicated website page structure?

Here’s the honest version. A page built around one service ranks for that service. A page trying to cover nine services ranks for none of them. That’s the whole reason we split them out. We can’t give you a multiplier, and anybody who quotes you one is guessing — but the structure isn’t a matter of opinion.

How is this different from a Wix or Squarespace template?

A template is a template — you’re using the same one as thousands of other businesses, and half of them are in your trade. Ours are hand-coded, so the schema, the load time and the words are all yours. The other half of it is money: Wix runs $23–$49 a month for as long as you own the site. Ours is one price, once, and then it’s yours.

What if my trade isn't in your list of 13?

Then tell us your trade. The 13 listed are the ones we’ve done the most homework on — we’ve got the searches, the ticket sizes and the usual objections written down. For anything else we do that homework on your call instead. Security, paving, fencing, tree work, movers, dog grooming: same build, same price, we just ask you more questions first.

How long until my trade-specific site starts bringing in customers?

Site goes live in 2-5 days. Search engines usually need a few weeks just to index a new page. After that, how quickly calls follow depends heavily on your trade, how competitive your town is, and how complete your Google Business Profile is. We can build the page properly and quickly — we can’t promise a number of calls or a timeline, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does.

Will my trade-specific site work for AI search and ChatGPT recommendations?

It’s built that way from day one — Organization schema, a real named person behind the business, FAQPage schema, and headings written as questions, because that’s the shape these things quote from. Whether that turns into calls, nobody honestly knows yet. It costs us nothing extra to do it right, so we do it.

Ready to See What Your Trade Page Would Look Like?

Tell us your trade and the towns you drive to. In about 48 hours you’ll have a homepage to look at. If you don’t like it, keep it anyway and we’ll leave you alone.
